Viareggio is famous for its promenade, a place full of renowned stores and boutiques of the most prestigious brands of Italian and international couture, restaurants, bars and ice-cream shops asides from being the place where important events like the famous Viareggio Carnival take place. Also popular in Viareggio are handcraft goods sold in many local markets.
In Forte de Marmi the most exclusive boutiques are around Piazza Garibaldi, Via Mazzini and Piazza Dante.
