Gorgogna

Gorgogna, the smallest island of the seven, is also the most enveloped in green and lies the farthest north in the Arcipelago Toscana. Its 300 residents hold great importance to keeping the island as natural and beautiful as possible. Most of the land and water surrounding Gorgogna is completely protected against any activity that could hurt the natural wild life. There is, however, a small area on the eastern side and off the east coast that strictly controls by the ‘Direzione della Casa del Reclusione’ but allows things like fishing and driving in small amounts.
