Monte Amiata

Amiata is the name of the Volcano Monte Amiata, which is 1732 m high - the second highest volcano in Italy after the Etna. Even though its last eruption was about 180,000 years ago, still today it heats the surrounding thermal baths, such as Bagno Vignoni or Bagni San Fillippo, and even the more distant like Petriolo and Saturnia.
