Giannutri

The 500 meter heart shaped paradise of Giannutri is directly south east of Giglio in the province of Grosseto and the southern most island of the Arcipelago Toscana. The island is considered by some to be the most beautiful of the seven islands and is strictly controlled by the Parco Marino – set in place to keep its rocky and steep coasts, clear waters and land rich with vegetation protected and full of life. There are very few inhabitants of this tiny island and only the two points, San Francesco and Capel Rosso, are open for things like snorkelling and scuba diving while motorized vehicles and fishing are completely prohibited.
