About Versilia

Forte dei Marmi

Along the coast just north of Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi has made a name for its self as the VIP destination of the Versilian coast and offers many of the perks that go along with that denomination. Always an exclusive city, it made its wealth as a large marble excavation and exportation city and is now the most exclusive post in Versilia. In addition to its teal blue sea shore and fine white sandy beaches, incredible restaurants and shopping, there are some interesting museums and buildings to see like their central fort, ‘il fortino’ that became somewhat of a city symbol when it was built in 1788 and has housed the Museum of Caricatures since 1973. There is always something to do in this little city that never seems to sleep. Whether you are interested in laying on the beach or sipping a glass of wine on a restaurant terrace, during the day or dining and dancing late into the night in a discotheque, there is an option for you.
