San Vincenzo is today one of the most popular seaside resorts of the province of Livorno and of all the Etruscan Coast - that starts from here and extends up to Piombino. In fact, during the last decades many new tourist facilities and houses has been constructed to satisfy the increasing influx of visitors, tourists and residents.
With around 7000 inhabitants San Vincenzo is bathed by the Ligurian Sea and delimited by the Castagneto Carducci district to the north and by the Coastal Park of Rimigliano and the district of Piombino to the south. You can find inland the area of Val di Cornia.

Particularly suggestive natural beauties situated nearby are the Coastal Park of Rimigliano - an exceptional concentration of Mediterranean vegetation with an extension of about 650 hectares formed by wonderful sand dunes shaped by the sea winds and a shandy forest populated by oaks and pines, the entire beach is anyway equipped with showers and public toilets displaced in several different specific points - and the amazing Gulf of Baratti. Ask to be accompanied by one of the tourist guides available on this territory or rent a bike and to go around the streets of the country in this way could be two pleasant methods to deeply get in touch with this cool coastal town.
Along the coast you can find also the Tower of San Vincenzo - built in 1300 and from which the city takes its name - and other fortifications and watch towers used in the past to defense the coast by pirate attacks.
Another advantage of this seaside resort are the numerous sport facilities and buildings that represent the joy of all sportsmen. Among these you will find a football field, the San Carlo cycle track, a lot of tennis fields and a covered swimming pool inside the Park Albatros camping.
Among the sport events that take place here every year, we mention the Gran Prix Costa degli Etruschi, the opening competition of the Italian professional cycling season, that starts in San Vincenzo and arrives up to Donoratico.
